Hospital IPTV is a network TV system designed for hospitals. Beyond TV channels in patient rooms, it delivers health education, service information and internal announcements to screens in wards, waiting areas and staff zones, all managed centrally.
| Area | Use |
|---|---|
| Inpatient rooms | Channels, personalised welcome, visiting and meal info, care videos |
| International patients | Multilingual menus, foreign channels, interpreter info |
| Waiting areas | Health education alongside queue displays |
| Staff areas | Internal news, training schedules |
| Hospital-wide | Emergency messages on every screen |
Separate IPTV VLAN with multicast, headend conversion of terrestrial and satellite channels, content ownership and approval, HIS integration with minimal data, cleanable TVs and remotes.
Displaying patient names is personal data: get approval from the hospital's data-protection owner, show it only in the patient's own room, allow opt-out, and never show treatment details.
