The Zyxel OLT1404A/OLT1408A 4/8-port GPON OLT provides up to 500/1K FTTH to subscribers with 4/8 ITU-T G.984 GPON fiber links. The GPON OLT supports split ratios of up to 1:128, while each SFP slot supports both class C+ and class B+ transceivers for dierent service reaches. The 4/8-port pizza box OLT is a cost-eective solution in thinly populated regions, and the 1U design makes installation easier thanks to its small size and compact design.

The Zyxel OLT1404A/OLT1408A are compact “pizza box” 1U GPON OLTs designed for flexible fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) deployment.

- Supports 4/8 GPON ports, serving up to 500/1,000 subscribers. 

- Up to 1:128 split ratio, with each GPON port capable of supporting both Class B+ and C+ SFP transceivers for flexible service reach.

- Features dual 10G SFP+ uplink ports, along with 8 optical Gigabit Ethernet and 8 RJ-45 Gigabit LAN ports, supporting various network topologies, edge devices, peer-to-peer connections, and server aggregation. 

- Supports advanced Layer-2 features, including QoS, VLAN (including QinQ), multicast, and IGMP snooping, to optimize triple-play services such as IPTV. 

- Temperature-hardened design with AC/DC dual power and battery-charging functionality, operating in -40°C to +65°C.

- Offers robust OAM&P tools, with Web GUI, SNMP, Telnet/CLI, local console, and EMS support for alarm, performance, and fault monitoring.
